چکیده

Abstract We report on a new capability added to our general relativistic radiation-magnetohydrodynamics code, Cosmos++ : an implicit Monte Carlo (IMC) treatment for radiation transport. The method is based Fleck-type discretization of the radiation-hydrodynamics equations, but generalized both Newtonian and regimes. A multiple reference frame approach used geodesically transport photon packets (and solve hydrodynamics equations) in coordinate frame, while radiation–matter interactions are handled either fluid or electron frames then communicated via Lorentz boosts orthonormal tetrad bases attached fluid. describe constructing estimators moments using path-weighting that generalizes arbitrary systems flat curved spacetime. Absorption, emission, scattering, Comptonization among matter considered this report. discuss formulations numerical methods, validate models against suite coupled test problems spacetimes.

Explicit-Implicit Scheme for Relativistic Radiation Hydrodynamics

Relativistic flows appear in many high-energy astrophysical phenomena in which the magnetic field has a crucial role in dynamics. For example, magnetic fields connecting an accretion disk with a central star, or, different points of accretion disks are twisted and amplified due to the differential rotation, launching jets. Also magnetic fields play an important role in accretion disks to transp...

Equations of general relativistic radiation hydrodynamics in Kerr space - time

Equations of fully general relativistic radiation hydrodynamics in Kerr space-time are derived. While the interactions between matter and radiation are introduced in the comoving frame, the derivatives used when describing the global evolutions of both the matter and the radiation are given in the Boyer-Lindquist frame (BLF) which is a frame fixed to the coordinate describing the central black ...

Relativistic Monte Carlo

Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) is a popular Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm that generates proposals for a Metropolis-Hastings algorithm by simulating the dynamics of a Hamiltonian system. However, HMC is sensitive to large time discretizations and performs poorly if there is a mismatch between the spatial geometry of the target distribution and the scales of the momentum distribution....

Radiation reaction and relativistic hydrodynamics.

By invoking the radiation reaction force, first perturbatively derived by Landau and Lifschitz, and later shown by Rohrlich to be exact for a single particle, we construct a set of fluid equations obeyed by a relativistic plasma interacting with the radiation field. After showing that this approach reproduces the known results for a locally Maxwellian plasma, we derive and display the basic dyn...

Fluctuating Hydrodynamics and Direct Simulation Monte Carlo

Thermodynamic fluctuations are significant at microscopic scales even when hydrodynamic transport models (i.e., Navier-Stokes equations) are still accurate; a well-known example is Rayleigh scattering, which makes the sky blue. Interesting phenomena also appear in non-equilibrium systems, such as the enhancement of diffusion during mixing due to the correlation of velocity and concentration flu...
